Cookie Policy

Delia Natuurlijke Haarkleuring · 3 September 2026

If there is an inconsistency between the Dutch and English-language version of these regulations, the Dutch version takes precedence.

Delia Natuurlijke Haarkleuring uses local storage, session storage, and two browser cookies on this website. None of this tracks you across other websites or serves advertising.

Local storage and session storage

We use local storage and session storage for the following purposes.

Display preference (color-scheme)

Stores your choice of light or dark display mode. This data does not leave your device and never reaches our servers.

Video settings (dashjs_video_settings)

We use the Dash.js component for displaying videos and store minimal technical information about your video codec and preferred bitrate. This allows us to optimise video loading and streaming quality when the same video appears multiple times on a page.

Appointment page timezone (TZ)

Stores the time zone for the correct display of appointments in your local time. Acuity Scheduling sets this value. The data does not leave your device and has no expiry.

Spam protection by the online calendar

Google acts as a processor under Acuity Scheduling's instruction for spam protection (reCAPTCHA) on the appointment form, since 2 April 2026. The spam protection is an integral, non-configurable part of the widget Acuity Scheduling supplies. Delia Natuurlijke Haarkleuring has no engineering control over when the protection initialises, and the appointment form cannot function safely without it. The storage only fires after a visitor actively clicks the 'Book appointment' button. Delia Natuurlijke Haarkleuring relies on the strictly necessary exemption under Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act, because the spam protection is inseparable from the booking service the visitor requested.

The spam protection writes its data in two stages. When the calendar opens, it stores two baseline values that tell bots from people, rc::[letter] in local storage and rc::[letter] in session storage. The token values come later. Only when a visitor confirms a booking does it write _grecaptcha in local storage and the _GRECAPTCHA browser cookie. Google has not published what each value holds. The Cloud Data Processing Addendum still limits how Google may use any of it, only to provide and maintain the service and for general security, never for advertising.

These values keep different lifetimes. rc::[letter] clears the moment the visitor closes the tab, while rc::[letter] and _grecaptcha carry no expiry at all. The _GRECAPTCHA browser cookie lasts six months.

Browser cookies

The online calendar places one functional browser cookie, PHPSESSID, when the calendar opens, and it keeps your booking session working. It expires after one month. Google's spam protection adds a second browser cookie, _GRECAPTCHA, only when you confirm a booking, and it expires after six months.

How do I clear local storage, session storage, and browser cookies?

Local storage persists after the browser restarts and does not clear automatically. The quickest way to clear it is Ctrl+Shift+Delete on Windows or Cmd+Shift+Delete on Mac. That opens the clear browsing data dialog in most browsers. Select "Cookies and other site data" and confirm. All major browsers also offer a private mode. Chrome calls it Incognito, Firefox Private Browsing, Edge InPrivate, and Safari Private. In each of these modes, the browser clears local storage automatically when you close the browser. Closing a tab does not clear storage.

Session storage disappears automatically when you close the tab. No further action is needed.

The browser cookies expire automatically. PHPSESSID expires after one month, _GRECAPTCHA after six months. You can also remove them earlier via the same clear browsing data dialog. To clear only the data from the booking page rather than everything, set the time range in the dialog to when the appointment was made, for example "last hour".
